My Writing Instagram
In 2024 I made the decision to start sharing my poems and short stories on my own professional Instagram account. I created the graphics using a combination of AI art software, Photoshop, and Canva to give a creative visual for each story. For some poems I incorporate songs that can give deeper meaning to the stories and see the writing from a different perspective than when it’s read without the song. Most of my writing consists of gothic and spiritual themes that sometimes play in part by some of my favorite fandoms, like Phantom of the Opera and The Portrait of Dorian Gray. It’s been a fun creative outlet for me to share some pieces of my life in a fictional universe, hence the name “My_Rose_Colored_Reality”. In less than a year I’ve been able to grow my account to over 1,100 followers who like to read and engage with my work. It’s been such a neat experience to hear about how my writing has touched my small group of fans and to see how many others resonate with the message of the stories.
